Delridge Skate Park Art group needs members
The Delridge Skate Park Art Advisory Council has a vision to connect the West Seattle Arts community, local youth, and Delridge neighbors and businesses to advance a local art piece that will be a keystone to the neighborhood and compliment the new skate park.
The background: Late last year Youngstown was approached to convene a group of people to explore the idea of creating a piece of public art for the new skate park to be sited at Delridge and Genesee. A grant has been obtained through the city to fund the creation of this group.

District council meetings
The Delridge Neighborhoods District Council meets the third Wednesday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center Theater, 4408 Delridge Way (bus routes 120 and 125)
The council was formed so individuals, businesses, and community organizations can meet regularly to discuss community issues, get connected to the variety of programs and services, and coordinate neighborhood projects in the Delridge District.
Each month representatives from neighborhood councils and other community organizations provide reports on what issues and concerns they are working on and announcements about up-coming community meetings and events. If residents or neighborhood groups have a community issue they need to resolve, there's usually a group or city resources who can provide advice and support.
In partnership with the City of Seattle, the District Council is responsible for selecting Neighborhood Street Fund projects, Neighborhood Matching Fund projects, and is regularly kept informed on city-wide issues such as neighborhood planning updates, Transportation i.e. the Viaduct, parks improvements, and public safety.
