William was born Jan. 10, 1924 in Seattle, Wash. He died Jan. 16, 2006 at the age of 82.
In college, William was part of the Navy ROTC, and a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity at the University of Washington and also graduate from the U of W. He worked in education for 30 years, working as a principal in the Puyallup, Anacortes, and Parkland School Districts, and then finishing his career in the Federal Way School Dist. as an Assistant Superintendent in Charge of Personnel. William was a member of Rotary and he enjoyed taking time to go steelhead fishing. William is survived by his wife Carolyn A. Whitesel of Federal Way; son Jim Whitesel and wife Sharron of Kirkland, daughter Joan Barclay and husband John of Bend, OR, and son John Whitesel and wife Diana of Kihei, HI; Sister Gloria Eckmann and husband Dean of Tacoma, and brother Edward Whitesel and wife Marge of Traverse City, MI; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Memorial Service was Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, 1829 S. 308th St., Federal Way, WA 98003._
