If you knew Edith Hall, then you have probably had some of her cookies. Edith, whoa died on Feb. 3, 2006, at age 78, had a mission: to make sure everyone she knew had something sweet to eat. She made friends enthusiastically everywhere she went, and she baked cookies for all her friends. Edith settled in Federal Way in 1974. She worked in the area at McDonald's as a hostess and at Boeing as a security guard. She recorded news and books for the blind, and she was a founding member of Solveig Lodge #31 of the Daughters of Norway. She is survived by her children Linda Hall, Patrick Hall, Thomas Callahan, and Donna Robinson; by six grandchildren; and by one great-grandchild. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the scholarship fund of Solveig Lodge #31 of the Daughters of Norway. A memorial service took place on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Burien.
