Matthew E. Soller passed away on February 7, 2007 at the age of 80.
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Matt grew up in both Michigan and Pittsburgh, PA until he joined the Navy at the age of 19. He served in WWII for approximately 2 yrs and was honorably discharged in 1946 when the war ended.
Matt married Jacqueline Anna Smith on December 20, 1952 and they lived happily together for 54 years in Michigan, New Jersey, Federal Way, Missoula, Spokane and Renton.
He passed away at home, mostly due to a broken heart, after losing Jackie in November, 2006.
Matt is survived by daughters Sue and Diane, Larry, Diane's husband, and son Scott, his wife Joey, and grandchildren; Matthew, Cameron and Nick. Matt will be remembered as a "Cool Dad," a cowboy, a loving husband, dad and grandpa, a good friend, Hamm radio operator, amateur carver, musician and our favorite Republican. He will always be missed, but more importantly, fondly remembered.
