October 28, 1920 - November 22, 2007
BEATRICE OSWALD passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Federal Way, WA after a brief illness.
Beatrice was born in Amriswil, Switzerland. She worked in her parent's store and then in Scotland, returning to Switzerland at the outbreak of world war two. There she trained and worked as a lab technician until moving to the U.S.A. in 1953. She lived in Boston, S. California and Montana, with periodic visits to friends and family in Europe.
In 1970 Beatrice moved to Wyoming to work in the family practice of Dr. Eleanor Sutherland. She moved with the practice (and eight dogs) to Federal Way in 1978 and spent many happy years as an indispensable member of the team office building architect, bookkeeper, lab tech. etc. Beatrice used her many talents to service others there and on short medical mission trips to Taiwan and India.
Beatrice traveled extensively and enjoyed reading and cooking and was a gracious and generous hostess to visitors from home and abroad. She touched many people's hearts and was beloved by all who knew her.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 1pm at Yahn and Son Funeral Home, Auburn, followed by burial at Mt. View Cemetery in Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, Beatrice would have thought of a donation to an organization such as World Vision International.
There will be refreshments and time for sharing after the service.
