Beatrice (Sherry) Bohon, 103, of Ballard, Washington passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, March 1, 2006. She was born on July 5, 1902 in Crowder, Missouri and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1923.

Beatrice Sherry married Warren E. Bohon on May 24, 1923 and raised four children. Beatrice lived in her present Ballard home for 68 years.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her daughter, Vivian Lorraine Bohon and husband, Warren E. Bohon and has one surviving brother, Thurman Sherry of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is survived by her four children, daughter Barbara J. Underhill, daughter Peggy L. Bures, daughter, Rita J. Bohon, and son Warren E. Bohon.

Beatrice was lovingly known as "Gammy" to her eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Beatrice loved to work in her beautiful garden and enjoyed cooking and needlework as well. She also enjoyed entertaining and was very active in her community through American Legion, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), World War II volunteer and was a devoted member of her church.

Beatrice was a wonderful example of someone who thought of others before herself and a true testimony of kindness. Beatrice "Grammy" was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

There will be a Private Graveside Service for family only.
