Sheri passed unexpectedly on May 22, 2006, at the age of 45. Born in West Seattle, she was the daughter of Margaret (Parks) Corey and the late Dr. Stuart Stevenson; stepfather, Dr. John Corey, and stepmother, Ginny Stevenson. Sheri is also survived by her brother, Jon Stevenson; step sisters, Nina Diaz and Merry Sterling; stepbrothers, John J. Corey and Mark Corey; and constant companion, Winslow. After graduating from Sealth High School, Sheri remained devoted to working with horses at the former Longacres and current Emerald Downs Race Track. Always learning, Sheri loved books, art, cooking, gardening, music and animals. In 1995, she received a Bachelor of Science in Genetic Biology from Washington State University. Sheri will be remembered always and greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Her life will be celebrated privately by family and friends at a later date.
