Oscar A. Nelson, age 71, passed away on 23 May 2006, after a short illness. He was born in Craig, Alaska into the Raven clan of the Tlinget tribe, of which he was very proud. After eight years in the US Navy, serving on the USS Boxer and USS Hancock, Oscar spent the majority of his life in Seattle. He was a member, and served as an officer, in VFW Post 2713.
