The Seattle Parks and Recreation Department with the Nordic Heritage Museum will host a free Nordic Kids event from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Bergen Place Park,
 
Children and their adults can drop by to celebrate Nordic culture by making their own buttons with the children's educator from the Nordic Heritage Museum. Participants can choose a Nordic theme (the museum will provide suggestions), or create their own design.
 
The event is suitable for children 12 and younger.
 
Bergen Place is located in downtown Ballard at 5420 22nd Ave. N.W.
