87 years old. Beloved husband of Kay for 62 years and father of three, grandfather of eight and great grand-father of 1 1/2. Bruce Wallace McLellan was a lifetime resident of West Seattle and passed on December 28th, 2005.
Bruce graduated West Seattle High School in 1936 and attended Gonzaga University on a football scholarship.
Prior to World War II Bruce worked at the Bremerton Ship Yard. He served his country in the Navy on the U.S.S. Harry E. Hubbard during the war.
After the war Bruce then went back to work at the Ship Yard. Then was evolved in a company called Raff's Shoes, he worked to become owner of the Company and sold it after forty years. He had a store at the West Seattle Junction for twenty years.
Kay and Bruce had a passion to travel the World together. They use to put red dots on a map where they have been and now the map is all red.
Bruce Is survived by his wife Kay and his three children Gayle Liebowitz and husband Kal, Brian McLellan and wife Cathy (Buff), Jeff and Vicki McLellan. Gayle's children Dean, Keith and Tyler. Brian's children Heath and wife Becky and Colby and wife Cassie and Jeff's children Kelly, Taylor and Dayna and his great grandson Jak Marly of Heath and Becky.
Services will be held ay Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home in West Seattle at 3909 S.W. Alaska Street, Seattle, Washington, Thursday January 5th at 1 p.m. followed by refreshments at the Kenny Home where Kay resides.
