Passed away on June 11th at home after an extended illness. Bob was born in Seattle on April 15th, 1921 and resided there the majority of his life.

After growing up in West Seattle, he graduated from Edison Vocational School and then attended the University of Washington, where he was a member of crew. The next years were spent serving in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

While his career was spent as an Executive at Ford Motor Company and later at Boeing, he was always a "car" guy at heart. During this time of his life, his hobby was his work. Never an individual to "tinker" with projects, upon retirement he focused his attention on a voracious reading habit, close friendships, family and spending time at his cabin on Whidbey Island. After traveling all over the world, he would sit on his deck at Whidbey and convincingly proclaim that there was no more beautiful place on earth. His greatest joy, though, was the time spent being "Bampa" to his granddaughters Kjersti, Elise, Anna, and Kari. They adored him.

Bob is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Audry, daughter and son-in-law Kaye and Andy Hall, and his grandchildren Kjersti, Elise, Anna, and Kari. He was predeceased by his son Tom in 1998.

The void in our lives left by his passing will be immeasurable. We will miss his complexity, wit, and intelligence.
