Kathleen McLaughlin Donohoe, died on Friday, June 9, 2006 at the age of 87. She was born on December 28, 1918, in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Edward E. and Anne (Sullivan) Nokes. Kathleen lived most of her life in the Seattle and West Seattle area. She was married to Gerald E. McLaughlin and then Edward P. Donohoe and both preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Seattle, Washington, worked as a Daycare Provider, was a foster parent and loved her daily walks.
Kathleen is survived by her tow sons Gerald Edward McLaughlin, Jr. of Mesa, Arizona, and Dennis McLaughlin (partner, Michael Urban) of Palm Springs, California, her daughter Eileen Strickland of St. John's, MI, her three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and her son-in-law, Larry Strickland. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle with burial immediately following at Holyrood Cemetery. Sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society or the AIDS Association. The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, MI.
