Car Left Unattended

A man went outside to warm up his car, which was parked in his parking spot at his apartment complex. The victim went into his apartment and left the car running outside. When he returned to the vehicle he discovered that someone had put putty in the door locks, and it had hardened. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

Attempted Robbery at Bus Stop

While waiting at a bus stop at South 180th St and Pacific Highway South, a man was approached by an unknown subject. The suspect allegedly demanded the victim turn over his property. When the victim refused, the suspect pulled out a small pocket knife and slashed at the victim’s arm. The knife slashed the victim’s jacket and left a scratch on his arm.

Two Men Rob Restaurant at Gunpoint

An attempted robbery took place at the Denny’s located at 14821 1st Ave. S. A white male and an Asian male entered through the main entrance. The Asian male stood back by the door while the white male approached one of the employees. He displayed a black semi-automatic pistol and said not to move or he would shoot. Reports did not say how much money the men got off with, and there were no reported injuries.

Angry Pedestrians Break Window

Three men were at a crosswalk on the 14600 block of Military Road South. A vehicle pulled up and stopped to let the men cross. One of the men grabbed a wood board and smashed the windshield of the vehicle. All three men ran off. The driver was startled but not injured. It was unclear as to why the man broke the window.
