The losing streak is at five for the Ballard High School girls basketball team after falling to Woodinville 59-34 Dec. 18.

The Beavers matched up well against Woodinville, the sixth-ranked team in the state, for the first half, going into halftime down five points.

But, Woodinville opened things up in the third quarter, outscoring Ballard by 15 points.

Senior Alexandria Lawrence led the Beavers with 13 points and junior Theresa Moriarty added eight.

Ballard will look for its first win of the season against Ingraham at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Ballard High School.
