Deaf Dalmatian FOUND!
Tue, 12/29/2009
Thanks to everyone who called to report sightings, we were able to determine where he felt safe and was "hiding". Rupert, I am VERY happy to report is now safely home getting warmed up and getting a well deserved warm meal. THANK YOU EVERYONE for helping THIS one have a happy ending. Keep your puppy eyes open for our lost souls. Happy Holidays!!!!!
The Herald received this plea to help find a lost dog on Tuesday Dec. 29th from Jodi A. Williams
"Please keep your eyes open for my friend's deaf dalmatian who escaped from his collar while at the VET's yesterday morning (12/28). He is out alone on the streets. His name is Rupert - he is a sleek dalmation @ 2 yrs old. His coloring is mostly black (definitely around the face). He is very friendly, but likely to be shy because he can't hear. He was at the vet for bladder stone treatment and had been hospitalized for several days. Slipped his collar and ran when they took him for a walk. Please tell everyone you know and help him find his way home. Lost @ 30th & Roxbury but was gone for @ 5 hours before they notified her he had taken off. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. He and his sister have never been separated - and there is great concern that his health may be at issue. Thank you.
If found you can call or email the owner at khunter48@comcast.net - phone: 206.714.3638. If you see him, call her directly. The immediate concern is that he's safe and he may not come to a stranger, so a call will get the owner or someone else who knows him there asap."
