Angelo J. Bulgarelli

December 26, 1918 - December 4, 2006

Born on December 26, 1918 in Taylor, Washington. At age 13 he became interested in playing the accordion, which became his passion and led him to be chosen by his infantry commander to go in to Special Services to entertain the troops in the European Theatre during WWII. He served three years in the US Army in Europe, including France, Belgium and Germany. In high school he met his sweetheart Marian and on August 30, 1941 they married. They resided on Gatewood Hill in West Seattle for 54 years. He devoted 36 years of work at Sears Roebuck and retired in 1984. Ange had the privilege of teaching young students to learn to play the accordion. Although the couple never had children, they were blessed with 65 years of being together. He is survived by his loving wife Marian, his much loved Yorkshire Terrier Crystal, also his sister Aldine Poleskie (Frank) of Fife, Washington; his nephew Randy Poleskie (Jill); niece Sharon Morgan (Morley); niece Linda Monson (Vick) niece Sandra (Craig); close cousin Patty Johnson and spiritual niece Andrea Totten; and his dear friends and neighbors in West Seattle. A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at 1 p.m. at the Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home, 3909 SW Alaska Street in West Seattle (206-932-0356). There will a graveside service on Friday, December 15 at 1 pm. At Hillcrest cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Angelo's name at Children's Orthopedic Foundation, PO Box 50020 S. 200th, Seattle, WA 98145.
