Jack Clayton Langley

Jack was born October 20, 1920 to Otto and Mable (Irvine) Langley in Beatrice, Nebraska. He was the youngest of five children. He grew up in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School. Jack was an athlete and was captain of their football team.

He joined the Navy in March 1942 and was discharged in 1945 as a "MOMM" - motor machinist. After being discharged he worked at several jobs before coming to Seattle. He went to work at Boeing aircraft as a machinist, working there for 26 years and then retiring. His interest was in mechanics and he kept our car in best repair for 26 years and it is still working like a newer car at 30 years old.

He married Elizabeth (Betty) Keuhn in December 1947 in New York City. They had two children, Charles and Valerie Bach. Elizabeth passed away in July 1965 in Seattle.

Jack remarried in 1966 to Viola (Stanford) Langley and has two stepchildren, Cheri Cappa and Mark Stanford. There are four granddaughters, two great granddaughters, two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

His faith in Christ was very important to him and he let everyone know it.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He will be missed by many friends and relatives.
