Age 97 passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in Everett. She was a lifetime member in the Washington State Pioneer Association. She retired from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as a switchboard operator. Gladys is survived by her daughters, Margie Bates, Joan Coburn and Kathleen (John) Leggett; son, David (Lillian) Fauver; 18 grandchildren; 22+ great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solon in 1994. Committal services were held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation (where she worked as a volunteer for several years) or charity of your choice.
