Edward Joseph Leskovar passed away at the age of 90 on March 14, 2007, at his home in West Seattle with his family present.
Ed was born in Helena, Montana, on October 1, 1916 and graduated from Butte High School.
He married Louise Lousen on October 4, 1941 in Butte, Montana. They moved to Seattle in August, 1942. Ed worked at the Boeing Company and retired after 41 years.
He enjoyed travel with many trips throughout the United States, Caribbean, Europe, also camping and fishing in Canada and on Hood Canal with his family and friends. Ed was a self-taught builder, architect and innovator.
Ed and Louise were active members of West Side Wheelers square dance club for 23 years.
Ed was a hard worker, a family man, and most importantly a believer in Christ. He left a wonderful legacy of diligence and love through the people he leaves behind. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Rae.
He is survived by his devoted wife Louise, his children: John Leskovar, wife Geraldine; Mary Lou, husband Chuck Paulson; Carol, husband Bob Marshall; Ron; Randy Leskovar, wife Mary; Janel. Grandchildren: Michael Leskovar, wife Lisa; Cheryl; Karen, husband Joe Keyser; Jennifer, husband Brandon Kem; Teresa, husband Jeff Bettger; Michelle, Kayla, and Paul Leskovar. Great-grandchildren: Trinity Kem, Octavia and Bella Bettger, Gabriel; and his brothers, Joe, and Ted Leskovar.
Prayer vigil: Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass and reception: Friday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle. Interment will be at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Holy Rosary Catholic Church, West Seattle, or Hospice Care.
