On March 17 at approximately 5:50 p.m., Federal Way Police officers were dispatched to a reported shooting located in the 2400 block of S 320th St.

Upon arrival officers located one gunshot victim, a 38 year old white female and resident of Lakewood, Washington.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition and later succumbed to her injuries.

Initial investigation showed the victim’s husband, a 42 year old white male and resident of Lakewood, Washington, fired a handgun several times at the victim during a counseling session at the location.

The suspect was later placed into custody on scene without incident. Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide.

Federal Way Police Detectives are currently following leads from witnesses and other involved parties in an attempt to further investigate this incident.
