Passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007. He had worked for the Discovery Shop, which is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, since it opened in November 1990. Al was on our first Board of Directors, and he remained as the Maintenance Chairman for the whole 17 years. He was also instrumental in preparing the property at the Discovery Shop located on 4535 California Avenue in West Seattle.

Al has been one of the most reliable and loyal of all the Discovery Shop's 75 or so volunteers. Need a light bulb replaced? Need a new sign made? Need the toilet repaired? Need a new shelf built? We'd call on Al!

We will miss his always helping hand and his sense of humor.
