Age 79, was born and raised in Austin, Minn. Oct. 4, 1927.
At 18 he was drafted to the Korean War and returned west, to Seattle, where he met and married Lorraine in 1951. He was a longtime resident in West Seattle and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church from the very beginning of the Parish. He helped build the school and church where his family attended. He worked at Hormel & Co. for 40 years and was loved and respected by all that knew him. He was the hardest working man that you could ever know and everything he did in life was for his family.
After retirement he built his family dream home in Eatonville, where he died peacefully with his loving family by his side. August 16, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Bennett) Stanton, daughters Laurie Stanton, Diana Rost (Stanton) and son Kevin Stanton.
There will be no services at his request but his family wishes are to ask for prayers and mass to be said, in remembrance of his life on the day which would have been their 56th Wedding Anniversary, Sept. 1, 2007, 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in West Seattle.
