This film features Nickelsville, including its Terminal-107 West Seattle location, as seen through the eyes of the homeless people who live there and those who have been supportive during Nickelsville’s long struggle to gain a permanent site. Their current location, a lot on 23rd near Union. They have until May 5, and no church or other entity is currently in line to help them once they vacate.
NICKELSVILLE MOVIE FUNDRAISER AND EMERGENCY ‘CALL-OUT’ TO THE PEOPLE OF SEATTLE FOR THEIR HELP
This is an emergency. Nickelsville is in urgent need of help with bills accrued for essential sanitation and phone services. We must have porta-potties, trash removal and phones - and these bills must be paid in order to keep these basic services through our next move on MAY 5th. Also, while making exciting progress with the City of Seattle in seeking solutions for a permanent site, our intermediary, Deputy Mayor Fuji, suddenly resigned. Nickelsville anticipates positive relations with the Mayor’s Office to continue, but we haven’t heard from Mayor McGinn yet. We are asking supporters to encourage him to contact us.
Together we can do this!
