Ann L. Phipps

Was born April 5, 1919 in Aberdeen, S.D. She has been a Seattle resident since 1941, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 28, 2007.

Ann is survived by her husband of 36 years, Edgar Phipps; son, Donald Hale (Jean), cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Retired after 21 years with Sears. She was a member of the Teamsters Retiree Club, formed by her husband. She served as a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Post 160, in West Seattle for 20 years. She also volunteered several years at the Puget Sound Blood Bank in Tukwila. Always devoted to her family and friends, Ann was a woman of strong faith and beautiful character. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life will be held Saturday, October 20th, at 2:00 p.m. at her long time church home, Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, 10404 34th Ave. S.W. Seattle, 98146. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, Deacon Fund.
