A suspiciously marked vehicle was pulled over in the area of South 188th Street and Pacific Highway South. An officer observed the vehicle tailgating, making unsafe lane changes and other violations. The suspect in the Wednesday, May 5 bank robbery in West Seattle was arrested early Thursday morning in a Sea-Tac parking lot after a car chase. He is suspected of robbing KeyBank in Seattle, April 19, US Bank in Georgetown, April 21, Chase Bank in Bellevue April 26, KeyBank in the U-District May 4 and Bank of America in West Seattle, May 5.

When the trooper tried to talk with the driver, the car sped off and the chase began. It ended five minutes later when the car blew a tire after hitting a curb.
The two people in the car ran off but a Tukwila K-9 unit found the female passenger trying to hide. She was detained, questioned by Seattle police and released. She was believed to be in the car when the West Seattle robbery happened. The following morning, authorities went to a SeaTac motel where they believed the suspect was hiding.
