Kerry George Richard Williams, 61, of Winona died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at his home.
Kerry was born Aug. 26, 1946, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, to Claude and Patricia (Dickson) Williams. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. On Aug. 17, 1974, he married Janette Butler Palmer in Chicago.
He was a professor of psychology at Winona State University for 25 years, and prior to that, he was a faculty member at the College of Saint Teresa, Winona, for eight years. Kerry was an enthusiastic recreational pilot and member of the Winona State University Flying Club.
He is survived by his wife, Janette of Winona; his parents, Claude and Patricia Williams of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Marilyn (James Jordan) Williams-Jordan of Redmond Wash.; Aunt, Betty, Margie and Henny, many cousins, and his mother-in-law, Amelia Butler of Winona.
Services were held in Winona on Dec. 12, 2007. Memorials may be given to the Winona State University, Winona Minn., 55987. In care of the Faculty Foundation, Directed to the Kerry Williams Psychology Scholarship.
