Helen was born and raised in Kilkeel, County Down, Ireland on April 6, 1917, and passed away Jan. 20, 2008. in Seattle. She came to Seattle in 1947 and settled in the Alki area where she raised her two daughters. Her favorite pastimes included walks on the beach with family and friends, crossword puzzles, and reading. During her lifetime she worked for the BBC in London, KIRO radio, and as a dental assistant. In later years she spent many happy hours with her granddaughter, Emilie. She was a great help. She is survived by her sister Kay, daughters Debbie (Robert) and Suzanne (Blake), granddaughter Emilie and nieces and nephew.

We celebrated her life on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1 p.m. at Seattle Unity Church, 200 8th Ave. N. Donations can be made to Group Health Hospice.
