Marjorie "Mae" Leininger

Marjorie "Mae" Leininger was born as Marjorie Mae Tracy in Seattle to Oscar William Tracy and Marjory Doris Meabon Tracy on March 1, 1931.

Mae grew up in Benton City, Wash. and graduated from Kiona-Benton High School in 1948.

Mae married her high school sweetheart, Harold Ivan Leininger on June 12, 1948 in Benton City.

She was actively involved in Highland Park United Methodist Church, The Washington State Big Game Council as well as the Salvation Army.

Mae always put everyone else first, she spent the majority of her life helping others. She was a homemaker and devoted 35 years of her life to providing daycare to numerous generations.

Mae went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2008 surrounded by family after a brief illness, she was 76.

Mae is survived by her mother Marjory Tracy of Seattle, daughter Susan Leininger of Seattle, son Kenneth (Pamela) of Olympia and daughter Sandra Simerly of Gooding, Idaho as well as five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar William Tracy and husband Harold Ivan Leininger.

Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Yarington's Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave. S.W. in Seattle. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at Noon at Yarington's. Ashes will be distributed at a later date and time.
