8:54 a.m. June 19, 4600 Block of Third Ave. N.W.
The victim states that she woke up and came through her bathroom to go upstairs in her three-level condo. She noticed that her front door was standing open about six to eight inches.
She went upstairs to her living room and kitchen area. About halfway up the stairs, she could see a man sitting in a chair in the living room.
The victim took her keys and went outside to call 911. Police arrived and noted that the driver's window on her car had been broken out.
Police entered and found a person in a hooded sweatshirt sitting in a large chair in the living room. The suspect was arrested without incident.
Suspect had used the garage door opener inside the victim's car to gain entry to the condo. Vicim reported that a couple of her tops had been taken down from her closet area.
The suspect told police that he thought he was at his friend's place. The victim's neighbor in the condo complex told police she knew the suspect. The neighbor said she and the suspect had been going to bars and Fremont when they were separated. She thought the suspect went home.
Police noted that the floor plans of the neighboring condos were significantly different. Suspect told police he had no recollection of how he entered the condo.
Off. Gary McNulty states: "I noted that it took quite a bit of thought to get a rock, break out a car window to access the garage door opener to open the garage door. Then the suspect, as drunk as he says he was, thought enough to close the garage door. Then the suspect, for whatever reason, thought to open the front door, and not open it just ajar, but to open it so that it was standing open by an estimated six to eight inches."
When police originally approached suspect in the chair, he was acting like he was asleep but seemed to be wide awake and fully able to understand commands when confronted. Police did not notice any affects of intoxication.
8 a.m. June 15 – 6:46 p.m. June 20, 2600 Block of N.W. 59th St.
Victim stated that she has known the burglary suspect for the past few years and they had dated briefly more than years ago. She always allowed the suspect to stay with her when he needs a place to eat or sleep for a few days.
A few months back, the victim told the suspect he was not allowed back at her home.
About five days ago, a hospital called and said the suspect was being discharged and he requested they call her to pick him up. Against her better judgment, victim picked him up and told him he could stay until he was OK.
When the suspect was healed, the vicim told him to leave. An argument ensued and victim called 911. The police arrived and took a report on that disturbance.
Since that time, the suspect has called approximately 300 times in the past two days. Because of the phone calls, the vicim has been staying with her parent.
She came home June 20, and as she was gathering belongings to take to her parent's, she noticed a used plate and fork that wasn't on her counter when she left. She then found some of the suspect's dirty clothes on the floor. When victim began to look around, she found that the bedroom screen window was off but everything was still locked up.
Victim said the only thing taken was four pairs of basketball shoes. The spare house key was also missing.
The suspect has also been texting the vicim. Two texts he sent read, "You threw the first blow," and, "You're not sharper than me." Suspect also left a message on her phone that said, "You like playing games; well, I can play games, too."

Victim stated that his wife came home and possibly interrupted a burglary. He believed this was true as some valuable and easily transportable items were left near the forced entry point.
Victim stated there was a variety of electronics and some money belonging to his mother taken from the residence.
Victim stated he has only recently moved into this residence and found it odd that his house was targeted so quickly.
