Theresa Virginia (Groves) Longley passed away in Kent at home on Oct. 5, 2005. She was 68. Born to Ira and Katherine Groves on Sept. 29, 1937 in Burien, Theresa lived in Burien and Kent all her life. She graduated from Highline High School, Class of 1956. Theresa, also known by nick name as Gina, worked as a key-punch operator at the Boeing Co. and Tradewell. She drove school buses for the Kent School District. She was active in Scouting and loved children. Her hobbies included helping others, cooking, baking, ceramics, and gardening. She loved her time spent with family.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Longley Sr. of Kent; sons Thomas (Sandy) Longley Jr. of Ephrata and Millard Longley of Federal Way; daughters Donna Longley-Hall of Auburn and Katherine Baril (Scott) of Kirkland; a brother, Ira (Bill) (and Susan) Groves of Federal Way; 14 grandchildren; two great -grandchildren; and nephews John (Steffanie & Delia) Groves of Covington, and Robert (Brenda) Groves of West Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ira and Katherine Groves.
Theresa's service was held at Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel in Kent with burial at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 557 Roy St., Seattle, WA 98109-4219
