"The Deck" the new outdoor lounge area adjacent to Alki Crab and Fish is the scene for a fundraiser for the Newlove family on August 21. All proceeds from sales of beer and wine will be donated to the family.
Alki Crab and fish at 1660 Harbor Avenue Southwest will contribute ALL proceeds from beer and wine sold from 5 PM to 10PM on Saturday, August 21 as a fundraiser for the family of fallen sailor Jarod Newlove.
Newlove, a 2003 Sealth High School graduate, was killed in Afghanistan in late July. Services for him were held at Holy Family in White Center Aug. 9.
Eric Galanti is the owner of the restaurant (as well as the Admiral Pub) and chose to do this to keep attention focused on the family and to support them.
They hope to raise $5000.
Alki Crab and Fish recently opened "The Deck" an area adjacent to the restaurant, that has been completely remodeled. They have applied for a Class H license to permit them to sell mixed drinks and that license may be approved this week.
