Michelle left us peacefully on Christmas Eve and became an angel. She had spent this last year in a courageous battle with mouth cancer. She amazed and had everyone in awe with her spunkiness and her powerful determination to keep going and to live each day to the fullest.
Michelle was born 45 years ago in Seattle to her parents, James and Madelyn May, now deceased. She grew up, went to school, raised her son and spent all of her adult life in West Seattle. Her personality and zest for life lit up a room. She had a knack for working with children and all of her life she also had a fondness for being near the elderly and always seemed to have a special connection to both generations and they always loved her back. Her favorite things were spending time with her boyfriend Scott, her family, her friends, gardening and flowers, Alki Beach, and one of her favorites were her kitties Ruby, Leftie and Rosie. She had always had a passion to save and care for lost and unwanted animals.
She is dearly missed and loved by family and friends, her son Christopher, her siblings, Jimmy, Nancy, E.J., Martha, Michael and Nick, her nephew Andy, and her little niece Shawna, her friends Scott, Reba, Mike, Miss Emma, Big Jim, Kirby, Artie, Frank, Pastor Terry and many, many others. We want to send a special thank you to those who helped her with her spiritual needs towards the end of her journey.
A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at 1 p.m. at West Seattle Church of the Nazarene, 4201 S.W. Juneau St.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PAWS or your favorite charity. There will be a gathering afterwards of family and friends. Please come and share some happy memories with us.
