SLIDESHOW: West Seattle Junction Car Show becomes Wet Seattle Junction
Sun, 09/19/2010
The Annual West Seattle Junction Car show saw more umbrellas than cars on Sunday, Sept. 19 as the weather kept dumping rain, sometimes in buckets on the event. Still, Seattleites are used to the rain but the bigger squalls made exhibitors and visitors alike run for the cover of Junction awnings. Some sunbreaks finally made it through to give attendees and exhibitors a break.

The weather limited attendance by the exhibitors too with only 142 cars registered by 10:00 a.m. (the show started at 8:00 a.m.) but June Farran, in charge of registration expected more to arrive.
On display were some of the regular car show veterans and a few new participants. All cars were pre-1975.
Taking part in the show were antique fire trucks from the Last Resort Fire Dept. and even a few boats including the Miss Oberto hydroplane.
