The Bartell Drugs pharmacy in Jefferson Square on 42nd Ave s.w. was robbed Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

“We are fortunate that no one was hurt and the pharmacy was re-opened by noon,” Rebecca Siegmund, assistant vice president of marketing for Bartell Drugs, said in an email.

SPD First Watch Commander Lt. Von Levandowski of the Southwest Precinct provided further details on the suspect and robbery.

According to Lt. Levandowski, the suspect told the pharmacists on duty that he had a gun (although he did not show it) and “obtained assorted narcotics” before fleeing westbound on foot.

Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect, described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s “wearing a tan beanie, dark blue jacket, blue jeans and black New Balance tennis shoes.”
