Virginia Lee Orwig, 81, died July 11, 2006, at Highline Medical Center in Burien. She was born December 11, 1924, in Springfield, Ill.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a garage sale "junkie" and a shopaholic who loved animals. She had routine outings for coffee with her friends.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Jon S. Orwig (Rita Black) of Burien; Jan P. Orwig (Christel) of Renton; daughter Julie Beck (Roy) of Sedgewick, Alberta, Canada; grandchildren Ren and Senteara Orwig, and Cory and Callum Beck; and step-grandchildren Caprica, Shameika and Devanta Black.

A funeral service took place on July 14, 2006, at Yahn and Son Funeral Home with burial at Mt. View Cemetery.
