Olive E. Kimball's life spanned over 102 years.
During her childhood she traveled with her family from Oklahoma to Arizona in a covered wagon, then moved to Olathe, Colo., where she rode horseback to school and to piano lessons. After high school, Olive lived with her sister in Ceres, Calif., working in a laundry. She met her husband, Charles C. Kimball, in Ceres and they were married on June 16, 1927, near her family home in Olathe. Their life together lasted over 59 years until "Charlie's" passing in January 1986.
Olive had four children, Kenneth (Faril), Barbara (Jack), Lola (Doug) and Lowell (Kathleen). Olive was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to her family of more than 60. She was the last of her generation in her birth family, and is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Olive had a strong faith in God throughout her life, was active in church, and played the piano for services. Her faithfulness in God's Holy word and in His church gave her joy and fellowship with His followers.
Olive moved to Wesley Homes Health Center in February 2000. She received loving, compassionate care from the staff until she peacefully joined her beloved Charlie and met her loving God in Heaven on August 24, 2006.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sept. 23, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Living Hope Nazarene Church, 20107 First Ave. S., Normandy Park. Remembrances may be made to Wesley Homes Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
