John M (Jack) Skeel

Jack was born August 24, 1917, in Billings, Montana. He passed away at Harborview Medical Center on September 3, 2006, after a serious automobile accident on August 8.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty, and their three wonderful children, Sally (Jerry) Romero, Jack (Andrea) Skeel and Mary Ann (Corky) Luedke, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.

Jack served his country during World War II and is a veteran of the Merchant Marines. He had a long working career, retiring from Puget Sound Freight Lines in 1980. He was active in the Tukwila community, serving on the School Board for many years, and as a Water Commissioner. In retirement he and his wife Betty wintered in Honolulu, Hawaii, for the past 20 years. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him.

A celebration of his life will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 109 S.W.
