King County Councilmember-elect Joe McDermott was scheduled to be sworn in today at 4:00 p.m. but this will be postponed.

Writes McDermott, "Due to the weather, we will have to reschedule my swearing in for a later date. The canvassing board, which certifies elections, has canceled today's meeting so I will be unable to take the oath of office today.

Happy Thanksgiving!"
