Speeding down the hill on Charlestown Street a sledder bursts over a makeshift jump as his friends turn to pelt him with a snowball. The hill with a steep incline is a favorite for sledders on snowy days in West Seattle.

With schools and many businesses closed due to the icy weather people in West Seattle took to the outdoors to enjoy the unexpected day off. Though SDOT and Metro were certainly busy with problems, kids and adults found ways to entertain themselves all around our community.
