Long-time Des Moines resident Nolan L. Rahm passed away on November 12, 2006, at the age of 82. Nolan was born in Portal, North Dakota, on July 15, 1924, to Victor Rahm and Annie Hilton Rahm.
He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1942 and from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard apprentice school as a toolmaker. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the Boeing Company in 1989. Nolan spent his free time at the Des Moines Marina visiting with his many friends.
Nolan was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Hodge. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Kay Ward and two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher; by two brothers, Robert Rahm and C. David Rahm; and a sister, Edith Reite (Wes). Nolan also leaves nieces, nephews and his dear longtime friend, Elizabeth Ackley.
Service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at 1:30pm.
