Robert (Bob) J. Fulford, 66, passed away November 1, 2006, in Federal Way.
Bob was born October 20, 1940, in St Paul, Minn. His family moved to Burien when he was five years old. He was raised in Burien. He attended Sunnydale Elementary, Puget Sound Junior High and Highline High School.
He never moved far from the home. He raised his family in Des Moines.
Son of Charlotte; beloved husband of 44 years of Mary; father of David, Kenny and Nancy; grandfather of Katie, Alex, Jessica and Chase. He was always willing to help people whether he knew them or not. He was owner and operator of Northwest Air Conditioning. A practicing contributor in his industry, he was well respected by his peers and his customers. He was a man who had many interests; camping, hunting, Jeeping, scuba and spending time with his family and friends.
He loved the business he built over 40 years-Northwest Air Conditioning.
At 18 he started his own business doing automotive transmissions. In 1967 he purchased a 1966 Dodge Charger. He wanted it to have air conditioning. He didn't like the price the local air conditioning company wanted to put air conditioning in it. So he purchased 100 Frigiking automotive air conditioning units and sold them out of his garage and that's how Northwest Air Conditioning began. He spent most of his time at work, surrounded by his fleet of Jeeps.
Please join the family in celebrating his life at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 S.W. 146th St., Burien.
