George E. Lane was born on September 4, 1921, in Great Falls. Mont. He passed away December 15, 2006, at home in SeaTac at age 85.
George was a native son of Montana and a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Tukwila, the Knights of Columbus Council 11253, Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 66 and Elks Lodge 1450.
He is survived by sons Loren (Carolyn) Lane of Chehalis and David (Connie) Lane of Ellensburg; daughters Yvonne Tagoai of Federal Way, and Luana Lane of SeaTac; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister Clista Stephens of Tustin, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Foster Lane, in 2003.
A Funeral Mass was held Dec. 27 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Tukwila.
Donations may be made to the church Renovations and Renewal Fund in his memory. Arrangements were under the direction of Bletitz Funeral Home.
