C. A. "Cap" Prier

A World War II veteran of the United States Army and Army Air Corps, Cap Prier was born February 4, 1925, in Roslyn, Washington, and passed peacefully in his sleep December 19, 2006, in Las Vegas at Nathan Adelson Hospice.

A 1943 graduate of Queen Anne High School and an attendee at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while in the Army Air Corps, Cap spent most of his life in Seattle. He was a successful business owner of an ice arena, the Burien Ice Chalet. He was well known in the skating and hockey world, and his light heart and warm spirit will be sadly missed by all. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Las Vegas to be close to his children.

He is survived by his daughter Sharon; son and daughter in law Ric and Rochelle; and grandchildren Gabriella and Deric.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, January 13, at Angelo's Italian Ristorante, 601 S.W. 153rd St., in Burien, starting at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Cap's name.
