Kari Ann Hilden, 52, a long-time resident of Burien, passed away Dec. 30 at home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Kari was born May 21, 1954, in Tacoma, raised in Colfax and attended WSU.
In 1975, she moved to Burien where she has raised her three sons, Andrew (Tina), Christopher (Eva) Flanders, and Scott Hilton. She is also survived by her mother, Thoral (Ed) Sinkbeil, brother Bob (Julie) Sevedge, both of Colfax, sister Lana Maupin of Portland, friends and family.
Kari was employed by Seattle Trust and Savings in Burien and Holland America in Seattle. Kari loved watercolors, quilting, traveling, corresponding and short road trips. Her pleasant and disarming nature, smile and friendship will be deeply missed.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 4415 S. 140th St., in Tukwila.
