Sharon Lee Ashby, 59, a resident of Hoodsport, Wash., died February 19, 2007, in Sumner. She was born on April 17, 1947, in Seattle and was raised in West Seattle. Sharon worked for the Ford Motor Company for 26 years until her recent retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ashby, and son Richard Herbert. She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Marie Stromberg; a son, Timothy Herbert; stepchildren Theresa Metzgus, Robert Ashby, Cary Ashby and Jerry Ashby; sisters Kathy Pergakis, Colleen Duke and Joanie Weeks; and 14 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Thursday Feb. 22, at the Sumner United Methodist Church in Sumner.
