If you looked up in the sky on Saturday over the southern part of the West Seattle peninsula you probably saw some searchlights, painting the cloud cover.

It was the continuing grand opening of the new 7-Eleven store at 35th Ave. s.w. and s.w. Barton.

Owner Nirbhai Singh reports that so far his staff has been extremely busy and business has been great.

What is the biggest hit at the new store? "That would be the Slurpee's", Singh said.
