The season for spring sports is just around the corner which means registration time is now.
Baseball:
Ballard Little League Registration is now open. They're hosting an in-person registration night on January 26th at the Sunset Hill Community Club from 5:30 to 8:30. They ask that you bring any medical forms, copies of birth certificates and proofs of residence. They're offering a shoe and glove exchange that evening as well. For those living north of 85th Street, registration for Northwest Seattle Little League is now open. The league is hosting a “Meet and Greet / Cleat Exchange” in the cafeteria of Whitman Middle School on Saturday, Feb 5, between 9 a.m. and noon. Boys and girls interested in playing must be at least six years old by April 30. Additional information can be found at their website at www.nwlittleleague.org/home.php

Registration for the 2011 Ballard Boys & Girls Club baseball season starts February 1st. They offer teams for preschoolers through 4th graders with a mix for rookie tee-ball and machine pitch ball for the older kids. Cost is $75 and includes club membership. Lacrosse:
Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the Northwest and The Quick Styx lacrosse club has added a new younger team to introduce girls to the sport. The Quick Styx have been in existence for a few years with a 7th/8th grade and a 5th/6th grade team but this year they have added a 3rd/4th grade program. They are actively seeking 3rd and 4th graders for the new U-11 division. The season starts in March and goes through May.
Costs are $100 per player plus $25 US Lacrosse Membership requirement.
