Vaughn Meiller, executive director of Highline Medical Center Foundation, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Meiller was born in Texas on October 26, 1950, and later moved to the Seattle area. He became executive director of the Highline Medical Center Foundation on July 15, 1997.

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Meiller led the foundation in a successful $3 million capital campaign for the Highline Cancer Center, which opened in 2005.

He was extremely committed to the success of the Foundation and was proud of its accomplishments. He was also a long time member of the Burien -White Center Rotary.

A memorial service will be held in Bryan, Texas. A local service is being planned for a future date.
