Pauline Marie Grams lost her battle with cancer on May 26, 2007. She was born in Bremerton on July 7, 1921, graduated from Bremerton High School in 1939, and on September 13, 1941, married her high school sweetheart, Larry Grams.
Pauline was involved with Camp Fire Girls of America, P.E.O., faithfully followed her children in their activities and enjoyed camping with family.
After Larry died in 1981 she resided with her daughter in Normandy Park and started a child care in the home. Pauline loved caring for children. She worked at the Highline Child Care for 11 years and retired in 1997 at 75.
Surviving are her sister Phyllis Tibbets and brother George (Darlene) Montain; her three children, Paula (Marty) Hawkins, Randy (Lou Ann) Grams and Rick (Barb) Grams; and grandchildren Aaron Aviles, Joy (Jason) Heinze, Diedre Grams, Nate Grams, Justin Grams, Bethany Grams, Jeremy Grams, Joy Hawkins and Emily (Justin) Wahlborg; and great-grandchild Ava Heinze.
A memorial celebrating Pauline's life will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 19834 Eight Ave. S, Des Moines, on June 23 at 1 p.m.
