Thistle Street Stair Cleanup commences March 5
These stairs could use some TLC. On March 5 a group of volunteers (including you?) could really make a difference and clean up the stairs near Thistle Street.

The Thistle Street stairs will get a much needed cleanup from 10am-Noon on Saturday, March 5 by a group of volunteers organized by Michele Rogalin.
"I am encouraging those people with tools (scraping tools, rakes, brooms, flat shovels, weeding tools, and other implements of moss destruction) to bring them. I am planning to bring yard waste bags, drinks, and a plan of action for the various parts of the stairs," said Rogalin.
"I am hoping to get a good group together so that the project doesn't take very long. I use the stairs a lot for training, and they are a mess. (I recently saw someone slip - super scary. Luckily he was not injured.) I think it will be a fun and satisfying accomplishment for the community to come together and take care of our stairs."

Thistle St & 46th Ave SW shortly before 10:00 a.m. on March 5.
There is a Facebook community group called The Thistle Street Stairs. People who are interested can "Like" it and RSVP to the invitation.
